The catalogue for the 2010 Perth Yearling Sale is now online and can be accessed from the home page of the Magic Millions website (www.magicmillions.com.au).
An outstanding line up of 630 yearlings make up the catalogue for the sale – which in recent seasons has thrown up a number of star gallopers – particularly abroad.
The sale regarded for its great quality and outstanding value will be held at the Belmont Park Sales Complex from January 27 to 31. The feature Magic Millions Raceday will be held at the Ascot racecourse on January 30.
Well over 120 different sires are represented including locals Bearcat, Blackfriars, Bletchley Park, Helenus, Hurricane Sky, Key Business, Love a Dane, McFlirt, Oratorio, Vain Rancher and Zedrich.
Plenty of excitement will surround the initial offerings by WA based first season sires including Due Sasso, Flying Pegasus, Natural Blitz and Saxon.
Magic Millions Managing Director David Chester said the catalogue is made of an outstanding selection of youngsters – both bred in Western Australia as well as interstate.
“Prospective buyers will be impressed with what they see when they inspect the catalogue,” Chester commented. “It is a great selection of yearlings. Graduates of this sale continue to excel on tracks in Australia and also overseas.
“Scenic Blast did the country proud when he won the King’s Stand Stakes at Royal Ascot – Dan Morton purchased him for just $85,000 at this sale. The stable also snapped up the last start Mackinnon Stakes winner Scenic Shot from the sale as well – he cost just $36,000.
“Graduates in recent years have also won the VRC Derby, VRC Sires’ Produce Stakes, Railway Stakes, Kingston Town Stakes, Singapore Gold Cup and International Sprint in Hong Kong,” Chester summed up.
