The Acclamation sireline continues to go from strength-to-strength in Europe and that’s been reflected in the fees just released for the 2012 northern serving season.

Rathbarry Stud in Ireland has increased Acclamation’s fee from up 20,000 euros to 35,000 euros.  As well as some stunning results on the racetrack, Acclamation’s progeny were also in incredible demand at this year’s yearling sales.

His stock averaged 82,000gns and top of the dial was a colt purchased by Coolmore Stud’s Demi O’Byrne for 370,000gns at Tattersalls in October.

Acclamation’s brilliant son Lilbourne Lad will join the Rathbarry roster next year.  He won the G2 Railway Stakes at Curragh and signed off with a close second in the G1 Middle Park Stakes at Newmarket in October.

He will start his stud career at 7,500 euros.

The service fee for Acclamation’s leading first-season sire son Dark Angel has also been bumped up for 2012.  Based at Morristown Lattin Stud, he has gone up from 7,000 euros to 12,500 euros.

That’s a reflection on his immediate impact this year with 28 individual winners headed by LR Newmarket Empress Stakes winner Lily’s Angel.

Swettenham Stud shuttler Equiano is the only son of Acclamation available to Australian breeders.  He is currently covering his first southern book at the Nagambie nursery and will return to Newsells Park at Hertfordshire at the end of December.

French bred Equiano will stand for the equivalent of 9,350 euros for his second northern season.  “Equiano was extremely well received by breeders and fully booked with 127 mares earlier this year,” Newsells manager Julian Dollar stated.  “The sireline is on fire with the incredible success of Acclamation and Dark Angel.

“Equiano is the fastest and highest-rated horse from this sireline and, if anything, we have seen demand for his services increase from 2011.”
