Leading second-season sire Al Maher heads the six-strong Emirates Park roster for its NSW and Victorian based nurseries in 2010.  Al Maher (Danehill) was a G1 winner of the VRC Australian Guineas and his fee has been set at $26,000 (+ gst).

Al Maher has emerged as one of Australia’s most exciting young stallions.  Significantly, the three-quarter brother-in-blood to Redoute’s Choice is among our Top 5 sires in the 3YO division this season with 37 individual winners in Australia.

Headlining Al Maher’s progeny are the outstanding fillies Majestic Music (G2 VRC Edward Manifold St & G2 SAJC Yallambee Classic) and Speedy Natalie (G3 AJC Adrian Knox St).

Adding to the growing stature of Al Maher as a sire was the sale of G1 mare Serious Speed at last week’s Inglis Easter Broodmare Sale.  Sold by Toorak Park Stud, the MRC Thousand Guineas winner fetched $900,000 in foal to Al Maher.
