Flight Path increased her residual value with a late closing victory in the Chasta Bellota Handicap at Ascot on Saturday. The talented Perth mare is trained by Len Morton for owner-breeder Robert Anderson. The Perth QC bred her at the family’s Anita Vale Stud at Mardella.
Flight Path (4m Bletchley Park – Sweepshot by Dr Grace) is a younger half-sister to G1 winner Scenic Shot has won over $1 million for connections and Len’s trainer son Dan Morton.
Flight Path has earned over $207,000 on her own account from a 15: 4-2-1 scorecard. The majority of that prizemoney came when she won the Perth Magic Millions 3yo Classic in February 2009.
The Bletchley Park mare earned black-type when placed behind by Danebeela and All Class in the G3 W A Champion Fillies a week after the Magic Millions.
Her dam Sweepshot died aged 14 in February. She has an unraced 2yo filly named Line Of Flight (Bletchley Park) and a yearling colt by Blackfriars that sold for $180,000 at the 2010 Perth Magic Millions.
