Another Achiever at NZB Ready to Run Sale

The NZB Ready to Run Sale of 2YOs received another significant pedigree update on the weekend when Silent Achiever won the G2 Crystal Mile (1600m) at Moonee Valley.

Silent Achiever (4m O’Reilly – Winning Spree by Zabeel) has a half-brother by Sakhee’s Secret at the Ready to Run Sale.   Catalogued as Lot 399, the colt is being offered by Drury based Stonebridge Farm at Karaka on November 21.

Trained by Roger James, Silent Achiever was crowned New Zealand’s 2011-12 Champion 3YO with five wins headlined by her victory in the G1 New Zealand Derby.  She is a daughter of Waikato Stud-based champion O’Reilly and descends from the family of Victoria Derby runner up Sir Midas (Sir Tristram) and Kentucky Derby placegetter Pleasant Tap (Pleasant Colony).

Silent Achiever won her maiden at Ellerslie in December 2011 and followed up with further victories in the G2 Championship Stakes at Ellerslie, G3 Waikato Guineas at Te Rapa and G2 Avondale Guineas at Ellerslie leading up to the NZ Derby.

The Oaks Stud shuttler Sakhee’s Secret has taken the European first-season premiership by storm this year.  He is a runaway winner in the winners’ category with 19 individual winners.

Sakhee’s Secret was a G1 winner of the 2007 Newmarket July Cup and he shuttles from Whitsbury Manor Stud to The Oaks Stud for a $12,000 fee.
