Arrowfield Stud will sponsor two preludes to the annual Scone Cup carnival at Muswellbrook on Friday, April 29.  Each event, which are for juveniles and open class sprinters, will be worth $30,000 and will also carry BOBS rewards up to $18,000.

If eligible, the winners of each race can earn exemption from ballot for the Scone Cup carnival two be held two weeks later on May 13 & 14.  The two day carnival will see nearly $2 million distributed and includes two stakes, each carrying $100,000 plus.

The Saturday program on May 14 will be highlighted by the $300,000 Inglis 3YO Guineas and $175,000 Dark Jewel Stakes.  The history-making meeting will take the place of the Sydney meeting normally held that day.

The additional Arrowfield sponsored races to the Muswellbrook program could be a stimulant for far away trainers to spend the two weeks in the region. The Muswellbrook meeting is at the start of the two week long Scone Horse Festival.
