Artie Schiller filly on fire at Eagle Farm

Settheworldonfire started the New Year in style for Breeders’ Cup Mile winner Artie Schiller at Eagle Farm on Saturday.

The Brisbane based filly became Artie Schiller’s first Australian bred winner, and his 14th overall, with a four length victory on debut in the All Hallow’s School Hcp (1000m).

Settheworldonfire (2f Artie Schiller – Special Dream by Stravinsky) is a homebred for the Steffen family.  She is trained by Barry Baldwin and is a youngster half-sister to stablemate Special Something (Hawk Wing) who was an Ipswich winner last season.

Their second dam Fairy Bride (Ferdinand) is a sister to the dam of G2 AJC Stan Fox Stakes winner Dreamscape (Choisir).

Artie Schiller (El Prado) averaged books of 90 mares in his first three seasons shuttling from Pauls Mill in Kentucky to Independent Stallions.  He had a break from shuttling last year but will return to Victoria in 2011.

Besides his Breeders’ Cup Mile triumph, Artie Schiller won another 9 races from just 22 starts and earned over $2.08 million.

His first North American first crop is headed by Anne’s Beauty who was a Listed winner of the Glorious Song Stakes at Woodbine in November.
