Barbajuan joins Allandale Thoroughbreds

Danehill Dancer sire Barbajuan has been relocated from Eagle Park Stud to Allandale Thoroughbreds for 2011.

His move follows the recent transfer of Byblos (Hussonet) from Eagle Park to Egmont Stud in Queensland.

Peter Ward and wife Jan founded Eagle Park in October 2002.  They stood Danehill’s Irish bred son Colossus in 2006 but the Orange based property was situated in the dreaded purple zone when the E.I. crisis struck in 2007.

Barbajuan was a G3 winner of the Solario Stakes at Sandown in England.  He had 18 foals first-crop foals on the ground last year.  Allandale’s John and Claire Todd have set his fee at $2,750 (inc gst) in 2011.

Situated south of Bathurst, Allandale is already home to the Danehill sires Assafa, Annenkov and Bootleg along with proven sire Carry the Crown (Vice Regent) and Diogenes (Marscay).
