Bel Esprit colt leads Day 2 at Adelaide Magic Millions

Healthy increases across the board continued on Day 2 at the Adelaide Magic Millions on Wednesday.  Turnover topped $1.48 million for 114 yearlings at an average of $12,987.  The clearance rate was 76%.

A Bel Esprit colt from Summerset Park topped the second (non-select) session when making $77,500 to the bid of Victorian trainer John Ledger.  The Eliza Park resident got the colt from Obiqua (High Yield), a mare closely related to Mummify.

“Buyers were out in force and got some great value,” Magic Millions Managing Director David Chester said.  “Racetrack stars cost less here than elsewhere around the country.”

The Magic Millions sales focus will now switch to the Gold Coast for the QTIS 600 Yearling Sale on March 21 and 22.  Magic Millions will also conduct an Autumn Mixed Sale at Morphettville on April 11.
