Clear Mountain Fairview Stud has organised a country music concert to help raise funds for the Greenmount community hall which was heavily affected by the devastating floods of January 2011.
The community hall suffered structural damage that will cost $100,000 to repair.
Clear Mountain Fairview owner Bob Frappell called 2012 Golden Guitar Award nominee Rod Williams to perform at the concert next Saturday, January 7.
Williams and Frappell are old mates from the days when Williams trained racehorses. “The Greenmount Memorial Hall is an important piece of our local community,” Frappell said. “To lose such a beautiful and historic building would be a major setback for the small township.
“The horrific floods affected everyone in the community and, one year on, the hard work is far from over.”
Williams will be joined by guest artists Melissa Partridge and Lana Ross. The concert commences at 6pm in the Greenmount Memorial Hall and the cost is $15.
Tickets can be pre-purchased by contacting 0417 798 788. BBQ and bar facilities will also be available.
