Boundary put down at Claiborne Farm

Danzig sire Boundary has been put down at Claiborne Farm in Kentucky.  Aged 22, he had been in retirement at the Hancock family’s famed farm stud since 2005.

In Australia, Boundary is the sire of Vinery shuttler Big Brown and Secret Hill resident Minardi.  He won 6 times in 8 starts headed by G3 victories in the Roseben Hcp and A Phenomenon Hcp.

Boundary entered stud at Claiborne in 1995 and has been represented by 26 stakes winners of more than $35 million.

Big Brown tops the list with G1 triumphs in the 2008 Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes.  He shuttles from Three Chimneys Farm to Vinery and his first Kentucky-bred crop are two year-olds.

Minardi claimed the G1 Middle Park Stakes and G1 Phoenix Stakes.  He has been permanently based in Queensland since 2005 and has sired 150 winners worldwide at a 58% strike-rate.
