Brazen Beau honoured by Inglis

Star colt Brazen Beau and his trainer Chris Waller have been honoured in the lead-up to the Inglis Classic Sale for their Group 1 Coolmore Stud Stakes during the spring carnival at Flemington.

An engraved bottle of Johnnie Walker Blue along with Inglis memorabilia was presented to Waller by Inglis managing director Mark Webster at Warwick Farm on Wednesday.

Brazen Beau (I Am Invincible) was signed to stand at Darley Victoria after winning the Coolmore Stud Stakes on Victoria Derby Day.  “He’s a stunning individual,” Waller said.  “It’s a great endorsement for Australian breeders to see Sheikh Mohammed’s Darley operation investing in a star colt like this one.”

Brazen Beau was a $70,000 purchase from the draft of Murrulla Stud at the 2013 Inglis Classic Summer Book and has since earned $700,000 for Grant Morgan’s Ontrack Thoroughbreds.

“We are delighted to have secured Brazen Beau for stud duties this year,” said Darley’s Managing Director in Australia Henry Plumptre.  “We identified him as a top class colt after his win in the Roman Consul Stakes in Sydney and it was no surprise to us when he won the Coolmore so impressively.

“He is a powerful type and, as a Group 1 winner already, will be a popular addition to our roster when he retires to take up stud duties at Northwood Park later this year.
