Westspeed breeders with a mare by Oratorio would be hard-pressed finding a better cross than I’m All The Talk at Darling View Thoroughbreds.

The nick has built a tremendous 88% winning strike-rate since Watch Me Dance swamped a Bunbury 2yo maiden on the Australian Day long-weekend in January 2020.  “Wow!  What a performance,” trainer Steve Wolfe declared after the eye-catching debut.  “I like the progeny of I’m All The Talk.  They work with you the whole way.  There’s not a negative about them.”

Watch Me Dance lived up to that compliment throughout 2020 winning the G3 WA Sires’ Produce Stakes, G3 Champion Fillies and G2 WA Guineas.  “You just can’t put a price on it,” Wolfe added during the Ascot summer carnival.  “She’s clearly the best 3yo in WA.”

Em Tee Ay, who was runner-up in the $500,000 WA Guineas, has won 5 races carrying the cross and others include Madam Torio, Bragwell, Datalka, Mr Have a Chat & Warm ‘n’ Fuzzy.

Of the 8 eligible runners seen out so far, only Hear Me Sing, the younger brother to Watch Me Dance, has failed to salute the judge.  He was runner-up on debut at Ascot earlier this season and won’t be long breaking his duck this prep.

There are any number of Oratorio mares in Western Australia and, if they weren’t already on board, 15 different buyers purchased Oratorio mares at the Mungrup Stud Dispersal Sale this time last year.  Among them were Premium Bloodstock, Forest View Farm, Mogumber Park, Ascot Bloodstock, Longacres Breeding, Havenbridge Park and Trafalgar Racing who bought Coventry To Rio, the dam of Watch Me Dance, for $70,000.

Those 15 names will have been double-checked against the distribution list for I’m All The Talk brochures ahead of his second book at Mundijong.  Darling View owners Clive & Brent Atwell were also part of that buying-bench when paying $35,000 for Oratorio’s 10yo daughter Azita.

I’m All the Talk (Stratum) will finish 6th on the Australian second-season premiership this season.  With 10 days remaining, he has sired 24 winners of 40 races and $2.55 million in prizemoney.  That’s a new WA record beating the previous mark of $2,000,527.  Ironically, that was posted by Oratorio in 2009-10.

Darling View stands I’m All The Talk (Stratum) for $6,600 this year with Playing God ($16,500), Patronize ($4,400) and Lucky Street ($3,300).  All fees (inc GST).
