The Brisbane Bloodstock yearling sale set down for Sunday, February 20 will definitely go ahead on schedule.  The sale will be conducted at the Brisbane RNA Showgrounds and comprises 146 lots.

The Brisbane Showgrounds wasn’t affected by the floods.  It has been used as a refuge for evacuees but they are housed in a different section of the Bowen Hills complex.

There are 54 lots in the Select Session followed by 92 lots in the General Session.

Gainsborough Lodge sire Immovable Option (Fairy King) has the biggest representation with 21 yearlings catalogued ahead of Wattle Brae sire Easy Rocking (10).

Magic Millions winning sires Not A Single Doubt (Karuta Queen) and Oratorio (Torio’s Quest) have two yearlings each and other high-profile stallions with stock include Choisir, Dane Shadow, General Nediym, Lonhro and Show A Heart.

First-season sires include Caught Courting (Danehill), Classic de Lago (Encosta de Lago), Court Command (Commands), Henny Hughes (Storm Cat), Natural Destiny (Naturalism) and Shinzig (Danehill).
