Perth stakes winner Caiguna has been retired. The Fred Kersley trained mare has gone amiss while working up to a return to racing at the Ascot summer carnival.
Caiguna (4m Dubai Destination – Bremer Bay by Scenic) was runner-up to top colt King Saul in the G2 WA Guineas and returned earlier this year to win the LR Natasha Stakes at Ascot.
Owners John and Karen McGrath sold her to an eastern seaboard breeder and she will be covered by Darley champion Sepoy. The Perth couple sold her Thorn Park half-sister for $75,000 at the 2012 NZB Karaka Sale.
Bremer Bay has a yearling filly by Keeper and is due to foal to Pins in the next week or two. She will be bred back to Savabeel
Bremer Bay won 6 races up to a 1650m for the McGraths. Second dam All Washed Up (Marooned) won 11 races topped by the LR WATC St Leger.
