Colic claims Baramul sire Bel Danoro

Baramul Stud has announced the demise of its Danehill stallion Bel Danoro.

Bel Danoro was a G2 winner of the Bobbie Lewis Quality at Flemington and retired to stud in 2007.  There have been 22 winners at a 35% strike-rate from his first two crops.  “He died last week after a bout of colic,” Baramul manager Paul Thompson said.  “He arrived here after originally standing at Vinery.”

Bel Danoro (Danehill – Bislotto by Bellotto) was a homebred for Baramul owner Gerry Harvey and was standing for a $2,200 (inc gst) service fee this year.
