Excelebration has emerged from his G1 victory in the Prix du Moulin no worse for wear according to trainer Marco Botti.

Excelebration (3c Exceed and Excel – Sun Shower by Indian Ridge) arrived back at Botti’s Newmarket yard in good order after his Group 1 breakthrough at Longchamp

Now in the Coolmore camp, he will be set for the G1 Queen Elizabeth Stakes at Ascot on October 15 or the G1 Breeders’ Cup Mile at Churchill Downs on November 5.  “There’s plenty of time to decide,” Botti said on Monday.  “Taking in both races is unlikely and it would be a tough task taking on Frankel at Ascot.”

Excelebration won at Doncaster and Newmarket last year and was sidelined for nine months before striking Frankel first-up in the G3 Greenham Stakes at Newbury in April.

He cleared out to a seven length victory in the G2 German 2000 Guineas in May and then scored a dazzling victory in the G2 Hungerford Stakes at Newbury in August.

Excelebration continues to race for owner Giuliano Manfredini but Coolmore will decide whether he stays in training at four.  The sale to Coolmore is believed to value Excelebration at AUD 2.07 million.  

Darley shuttler Exceed And Excel sired the Prix du Moulin winner from a close relation to G1 Irish Oaks winner Princess Pati (Top Ville).
