Tattersalls Ireland conducted its April 2YO Sale on Thursday and results reflected the relatively small pool of buyers at the Fairyhouse venue in Co. Meath. The average price of 8,304 euros came off a 56% clearance rate.
Cathy Grassick’s Newtown Stud sold the top two fillies during the one-day sale. A daughter of Dalakhani was knocked down to John Cullinan for 45,000 euros. The sale topper is from In The Wings winner Fringe. Second dam El Jazirah (Kris) is a sister to the dam of Invincible Spirit.
Grassick also sold a Rock Of Gibraltar – Karliysha filly for 40,000 euros to Bobby O’Ryan. Her dam is a winning half-sister to the Aga Khan bred stakes winners Kasthari (Vettori), Kargali (Invincible Spirit) and Karasta (Lake Coniston).
