Darley will return King’s Best to Haras de Vacacion in Argentina for the forthcoming southern hemisphere season.
King’s Best originally shuttled to Australia but his owners were forced to find an alternative southern base when his progeny failed to fire in this part of the world. He has been represented by 144 individual starters in Australia and New Zealand but has yet to deliver a sole stakes winner.
The Kingmambo sire was a G1 winner of the English 2000 Guineas and he stands alongside Danzig sires Librettist and Country Reel at Haras du Logis in France. His European bred black-type tally includes G1 winners Creachadoir (Lockinge Stakes) and Proclamation (Sussex Stakes).
