Day 4 average up 40% at Perth Magic Millions

The 2010 Magic Millions Perth Yearling Sale came to a close at Belmont on Sunday with healthy increases across the board during Day 4.  Turnover was $836,000 was traded on 115 yearlings at an average price of $7,274 which was up 40%.  The clearance rate was 75%.

The top price of the day was $34,000 for colts by Hartley’s Spirit (Lot 461) and Untouchable (Lot 584).  

The Hartley’s Spirit colt is from the second crop of an unraced Danetime horse based at Bellbridge Park.  His home base offered the session topper from 10 time winner Iron Queen (Steel Glow).  Local trainer Brent Larsson was the winning bidder.

The Untouchable colt is the first foal from Melbourne winner Warshawsky (Fasliyev) and was purchased by K L Chong.  The Singapore trainer signing for seven yearlings at a spend of $86,000 on Sunday.  The colt was offered by Mungrup Stud as agent.

Magic Millions’ Singapore Manager Wade Burridge was impressed with the stock on offer.  “Over the four sessions, Singapore has purchased 26 yearlings,” he said.  Judging by the horses we’ve bought for Singapore, I have no doubt we’ll all be back bigger and stronger next year.”
