Lanes End Farm sold Atrea for $435,000 to top the leader-board on Day 5 of the Keeneland November Sale. The five year-old Storm Cat mare was purchased by Glen Hill Farm.
Atrea was sold in foal to Flatter. Her dam New Dice (Capote) is a half-sister to the dam of 2010 Kentucky Derby winner Supercharger.
Sekmet, a sister to G1 Spinster Stakes winner In Lingerie, was the second-highest priced mare selling for $310,000 to Benjamin Leon Jr of Besilu Stables. She is in foal to City Zip.
The day’s most expensive foal was a bay colt by Candy Ride from Magical Theater (Smart Strike). He sold to Maverick Racing for $220,000.
Day 5 saw 270 horses gross $11.49 million and the average dropped 10% to $42,576. The November Sale continues through to November 16.
