The last horse through the ring on Day 6 of the Keeneland November Sale provoked a flurry of activity before ultimately selling to Skychai Racing and Terry Raymond for $350,000.
Tapit colt Moro Tap topped proceedings on Sunday when he was offered by Hill ‘n’ Dale Sales Agency. As a foal, he had been part of the Evans Dispersal at Keeneland in September in 2011 making $10,000 to the bid of Off the Hook Agency.
Moro Tap made just the one start for his previous owners with a impressive second in a Calder 2YO event on October 12. He is the first foal of stakes-winning mare Ghost Dancing (Silver Ghost).
The top-priced mare on Day 6 was six-time stakes winner Magnetic Miss (Artax). She was knocked down to Margaux Farm for $190,000. The eight-year-old mare is in foal to Curlin.
On Sunday, 265 horses were sold for $10.74 million and the average rose 24% to $40,529. The sale continues through to Friday.
