Excelltastic tops Inglis Melbourne December Sale

Excelltastic topped Friday’s Inglis Melbourne December Sale on a day when the clearance rate reached 95%.  Overall, 113 horses were sold at a gross of $487,900.

Excelltastic (Exceed And Excel) is a stakes winner of over $400,000 in prize money and sold for $47,500.  The Peter Moody trained stallion prospect is Group 1 placed at Randwick and his new owners will be hoping there’s more black type on his way to the breeding shed.

Nordica was sold to Howard Simpson for $52,000 with a colt by Magnus and in-foal to G1 winning Danehill stallion Shinzig.  She is from the family of the world’s top rated sprinter Black Caviar.

Horses passed in are still available via the Inglis Make an Offer service.  The next Inglis Sale will mark the start of Inglis Select Yearling Sales for 2011, the Sydney Classic Yearling Sale on January 23 to 25.
