Magic Millions is well underway in preparations for the Capricornia yearling sale at Rockhampton which has been rescheduled for Friday, May 6.

In association with the Central Queensland Thoroughbred Breeders Association (CQTBA), and the Rockhampton Jockey Club (RJC), an exciting programme of events have been developed around the sale.

The Thursday May 5 meeting at Callaghan Park features the $123,000 Merlo Downs Stud 2YO Classic and the Capricornia Sales 3YO Championship.

Graduates of the 2011 Magic Millions Capricornia Yearling Sale will be eligible to pay up for the 2012 $5.05 million Magic Millions Race Series and $180,000 Capricornia Yearling Sale Race Series.

The catalogue for the sale is currently being distributed and offers 101 QTIS nominated yearlings from popular Queensland stallions All Bar One, Bradbury’s Luck, Bagger Vance, Clang, Court Command, Dance Hunter, Ferocity, Greenwood Lake, Hidden Dragon, Hotel Grand, Sequalo and Shovhog.

Hunter Valley sires Henny Hughes (Darley) and Snippetson (Widden) also have yearlings in the catalogue.

The programme of events starts with the CQTBA Calcutta Dinner at the Cambridge Hotel on Wednesday, May 4 and continues with Capricornia Raceday on Thursday, May 5 and the Capricornia Yearling Sale on Friday, May 6.
