Johnny McArdle has enjoyed a welcome winning run in recent weeks and he can keep the till ticking over when Female Agent makes her debut in the Take A Big 6 Maiden (Race 1 at 12.35pm AEDT) at Cranbourne on Sunday.

In a race without any exposed form, Female Agent is bred to take up a forward position from the 1000m start before the field hits Cranbourne’s sweeping turn for home.

Female Agent (2f Commands – Develan by Devaraja) is by Darley sire Commands who is high-balling at the top of the Australian sires’ premiership for wins and winners.  He is due to fly out for his first shuttle season in Japan next week.

Female Agent is from Develan who was a flying machine for owner Tony Santic.  She scored all-the-way wins at Morphettville and Cheltenham as a September two year-old before completing the hat-trick at Moonee Valley on the same day Sunline won her second Cox Plate by the length of the straight.

Develan has already foaled winners by Made of Gold, Brief Truce and Markane.  McArdle will be hoping Female Agent makes it four on Sunday.  It could also be the second leg of a weekend double for the Mornington trainer who saddles up Awimoweh (Jungle Pocket) in Race 5 at Flemington on Saturday.
