First 2YO trial winner by All Bar One

Oaklands Stud sire All Bar One was straight out of the blocks at the two year-old trials in Toowoomba on Tuesday.

Schweiz (2c All Bar One – Special Deposit by Special Dane) was the standout among the three heat winners when he clocked 23.37 for 400 metres.

The grey colt is a homebred for Oaklands Stud owner Neville Stewart and Dr Kim McCasker.  He failed to reach a $20,000 reserve at the 2011 Magic Millions QTIS 600 yearling sale.

Schweiz is a brother to All Bar One filly Hopefully who won two juvenile races at Toowoomba earlier this year.

The Mark Webb trained filly was one of 8 first-crop winners by All Bar One in 2010-11.  He finished on top of that division along with Nadeem, Red Dazzler and Ad Valorem.

All Bar One (Hennessy) was a G2 winner of the Sir Byrne Hart Stakes at Eagle Farm and stands for a $7,700 (inc gst) service fee.

Schweiz defeated Bam’s Boy by a neck.  The runner-up is a son of Goodwood Park’s first-season sire St Averil.

The Mick Nolan trained colt Strike Order (Jet Spur) and the Ron McRae trained filly Anjuree (Bagger Vance) won the other to heats at Clifford Park.

Toowoomba’s Fitton Insurance Hopeful Plate (1000m) is Australia’s first two-year-old race of the season and is scheduled for September 24.
