First Collect for Nothing To Lose

Local gelding Collector supplied Nothing To Lose with his first winner at the Sunshine Coast on Sunday.  He had more than three lengths to spare over Your Move (Bradbury’s Luck) and Craiglea Romeo (Waterford Road).

Collector (2g Nothing To Lose – Kosciusko Country by Timber Country) had been unplaced at his first four starts for owner Leigh Wanless prior to breaking through in the Slade Bloodstock QTIS Hcp.  He was a $7,500 buy from the Robyn Wise draft at the 2010 Magic Millions QTIS 600 Sale.

Nothing To Lose (USA) is a Nijinsky line stallion and was a G1 winner of the Shadwell Turf Mile at Keeneland.  He has averaged 54 mares in four seasons at Willowbend Stud in Queensland.

Collector is trained by Robert Bradshaw and is a younger half-brother to six-time South Korean winner Wanggol (Jet Spur).  Their dam Kosciusko Country was tailed off at her only start at Kembla Grange for Ron Finemore.  Second dam Julep (Sir Tristram) was a Listed winner of the VRC Talindert Hcp at Flemington.
