First-crop Galah foals at Perth Winter Sale

Real opportunities will be presented to buyers at the Perth Magic Millions Winter Sales on Sunday, June 26 at Belmont Park.

Around 150 lots were entered for the yearling sale and general bloodstock sale before the supplementary entry deadline.

The Sales are a premier source of quality performers and the past two editions have produced G2 WA Guineas winner Man Booker ($25,000 purchase with earnings $496,300), Crystal Slipper winner and Karrakatta Plate runner-up Spangled Impact ($2,000 buy with earnings $260,400) and quality performers Atacama Sky (Ascot 2YO winner and Perth Stakes runner-up) and Recoiled (won first two starts in Perth).

This year’s catalogue includes half and full relations to the stakes performers Black George, Oroya Gold, Prentice, Rockshaft, Vitalism and Young Lionel and youngsters from stakes mares Danni’s Crystal, Only Glory, Rosey View and Simply Adorable.

There will be in excess of 50 weanlings including members of the first crop of Rangeview Stud sire Galah.  A Group 2 winning sprinter by Redoute’s Choice, his foals for sale include Rangeview colts from Braakensiek (Lot 126) and Colorado Times (Lot 130).

Braakensiek (Johan Cruyff) was stakes placed in a Belmont Oaks and Colorado Times (Numerous Times) has already foaled smart sprinter Time After Time (So Secret) in Singapore.

Other sires represented by weanlings include Blackfriars, Dash for Cash, Dick Turpin, Frost Giant, Gingerbread Man, Patronize, Planet Five, So Secret, Trade Fair, Universal Ruler and Your Song.

The Racehorse section of the catalogue is highlighted by WA Derby winner Respondent among the 12 lots drafted by Peters Investments – the majority of them proven quality racehorses.

Feature broodmares include Group 3 winner Native Song and the dam of G3 winner Pop Culture plus city winners including Essayez, Express Dancer and Sheerkat.
