Patinack Farm has welcomed the first foal of its foundation sire Casino Prince. The bay filly is a half-sister to the Kris Lees trained Silent But Deadly (Choisir). The Newcastle based filly has won her last two starts at Newcastle and Canterbury.
Rory’s Jester mare Silent Smytzer is the dam of both fillies and she is also the dam of a new-season 2yo filly by General Nediym.
Silent Smytzer was one of more than 150 mares who visited Casino Prince in his first season. Other notables who were covered by the G1 winning son of Flying Spur included Royal Asscher, Laura’s Charm and Jade Tiara, dam of champion sprinter Silent Witness.
Patinack Farm stud manager Ben Lawrence who was present at the birth of Casino Prince’s first foal says both she and her mother are thriving.
“She’s a lovely filly, her father has really stamped her,” Lawrence said. “She is a very athletic, well-balanced filly and we’re very pleased with the first Casino Prince we’ve laid eyes on.”
