Waterside Stud sire Famous Roman has his first foals on the ground and one of the first to arrive was a filly from Ginger Minx.
Ginger Minx (Enforcer) is owned by Craig McCloy and she won two local races for the Geraldton based owner-trainer. The mare and her foal board with Olga McKenzie at Cromartry Park in Gingin.
Famous Roman (Danetime) won 7 races from 1300m to 1800m including a G3 victory in the R J Peters Stakes when he created a new WA record running 1500m in 1.26.39s.
The Danetime sireline is emerging in both hemispheres with his sons Bushranger and Myboycharlie both popular with their first yearlings this year. Eliza Park shuttler Bushranger (Ire) topped Day 2 of the Tattersalls Ireland September yearling sale with a colt that made 75,000 euros (AUD 94,970).
Vinery shuttler Myboycharlie topped Day 2 of the 2012 Perth Magic Millions with a filly that realised $75,000. He has already been represented by first-crop trial winners in Australia and New Zealand.
Famous Roman transferred to Waterford Stud this year and is standing for a $2,500 (inc gst) service fee at the Coolup nursery.
