Lotza Kitty landed the first win for Turangga Farm stallion Money Or The Gun in Launceston on Wednesday evening.
The Scott Brunton trained filly jumped the front and was never headed in the Newstead Hotel Plate (1120m). She scored by over a length from Gee Gee Sun Valley (Wordsmith) and Jazzy’s Choice (Jayemzed).
Lotza Kitty (3f Money Or The Gun – Galleriaborghese by Shamardal) had been runner-up on debut at Devonport in September and was also placed at Elwick last month.
She is the first foal of Darley bred mare Galleriaborghese who won at Port Macquarie and Orange. Second dam Self Portrait (Peintre Celebre) is a half-sister to European Group 1 winner Mamool (In The Wings) and the dam of Moonee Valley Group 2 winner Avienus (Reset).
Lotza Kitty is raced by John Fiteni and he also has her yearling half-brother by Bullarook Park sire Lucas Cranach (Ger). Fiteni stands former Tasmanian stallion Azevedo (Helissio) with Bullarook studmaster Malcolm Boyd in Avenel.
Money Or The Gun is a son of Octagonal and Sister Canny, a sister to champion racehorse and sire Canny Lad. He won a Cranbourne maiden before injury derailed his career after just three starts for Turangga Farm owner Stuart Ramsey.
Turangga Farm stands Money Or The Gun in Scone for a $2,200 (inc gst) fee.
