Widden Stud’s Group 1 winning sire Your Song posted his first winner on Friday with a dominant victory for Bold Kingston.

Fifth on debut at Doomben last month, the John Zielke trained gelding improved sharply at his second start scoring by over a length in the Capricornia Sales Breeders (C&G) Maiden (1050m).

An $80,000 Magic Millions purchase for Dovedeen P/L from the Three Bridges draft, Bold Kingston is the second winner for Hypatia (Distant Music), a half-sister to stakes-winner Iconic from the family of champions Black Caviar and All Too Hard.

Hypatia has a yearling colt by Three Bridges sire Unencumbered.

Your Song (Fastnet Rock) was a stunning five length winner of the G1 BTC Cup at Eagle Farm in 2013 before retiring to Widden Stud where he stands for a $16,500 (inc gst) fee.
