The Seductress gave Lauriston Farm a timely Xmas and Magic Millions present at Bendigo on Sunday.
Snitzel filly had been placed behind top colt Dalradian first-up in October and she returned from a break to win the Bring Home Bertocchi Maiden Plate (900m) by more than a length.
Lauriston Farm has catalogued her three-quarter brother as Lot 227 at the Gold Coast Magic Millions yearling sale on January 7. “The colt is a great type by Not A Single Doubt who is running hot at the moment,” operations manager James O’Brien said. “He’s a real Magic Millions type with plenty of strength and power.”
Lauriston welcomed Five Star Belle’s third foal in October when she delivered a filly by Lonhro.
Trainer Jason Warren was setting The Seductress for the $2 million Magic Millions 2YO Classic but ran out of time after she strained a hamstring on debut. “That put us behind the eight-ball but it might end up being a blessing,” he said. “There are some nice races in Melbourne we can target during the summer and I think the best is yet to come.”
The Seductress (2f Snitzel – Five Star Belle by General Nediym) was part of the Lauriston Farm draft at the 2015 Magic Millions and she made $170,000 for a syndicate managed by Brian Toohey’s Winton Bloodstock.
Her family has already produced the Not A Single Doubt sprinter Cavallo Pazzo who has won the LR Goodwood Sprint & LR Belmont Newmarket in Perth.
