Dandy Kid was a stable favourite for Cranbourne trainer Robbie Griffiths. Of his 19 wins, a record-breaking 15 were at Moonee Valley until his retirement a couple of years ago.
Griffiths prepares a close relation to Dandy Kid named Flash Kid and he is owned by the same syndicate that collected over $800,000 racing the Valley specialist.
Flash Kid can start paying his way by winning the Quinlan Cranes Showcase (Race 7 at 4.35pm AEDT) at Geelong this afternoon. He won a Wangaratta maiden in April and should appreciate stretching out to 1435m at his third run back from a spell.
Flash Kid (4g Racer’s Edge – Nakooma by Bicentenary) is by Chatswood sire Racer’s Edge and is a younger brother to 7 time Queensland winner Key To Success.
