Fleeting glory for Haradasun

A day after he won the G2 WA Derby with Haradasun gelding Respondent, leading Sunspeed breeder Bob Peters sold Haradasun mare Fleeting Glance for top-price at the Magic Millions Autumn Sale.

Peters dominated the Belmont Park Sale with the 6 leading lots on Sunday.  Fleeting Glance is half-sister to Ascot stakes winner Grey Monarch and she changed hands at the Autumn Sale for $32,000.

Respondent (3g Haradasun – Avenida Madero by Metal Storm) had won the LR Lex Piper Stakes and LR Roberts Stakes prior to running down Ihtsahymn in the closing stages of the WA Derby.

Peters bred him by using Coolmore Stud shuttler Haradasun over top-class mare Avenida Madero.  She had won 13 races up to Group 2 level in the 2005 Lee Steere Stakes for part-owners Bernie Clune and Mal Comerford.

Avenida Madero has an unraced 2yo filly named Star Affinity (Haradasun), a yearling colt by Nicconi and she is back in foal to Haradasun.

Peters had won the WA Derby previously with Mystic Prince (2013), Dreamaway (2011) and Old Money (2000).  He also won the WATC Australian Derby with Natasha (1990).
