Freedman in a Rush at Kranji

Michael Freedman’s excellent run in Singapore’s juvenile races continued on Friday night when exciting prospect Rush won on debut at Kranji.

Rush (2g Charge Forward – Flidais by Timber Country) finished strongly against the rail to beat Kaiser (Seidnazar) by a neck.  The runner-up was gunning for his fourth win this year.

“It’s good to see our rebuilding campaign with two-year-olds is starting to pay off,” Freedman said.  “It was a good tough effort for Rush to beat a more experienced two-year-old like Kaiser.”

“At this stage he’s 50 – 50 to head for the Magic Millions Juvenile Championship at the end of the month.”

Freedman’s top juveniles Cash Luck (Bradbury’s Luck) and Mr Big (Elusive Quality) are both back in work ready to resume racing.

Rush is a son of Arrowfield sire Charge Forward and Arrowfield sold him for $75,000 at the 2010 Gold Coast Magic Millions.

Charge Forward (Red Ransom) has sired 65 winners in three crops and Rush is his first in Singapore.  He is also the first winner for G3 AJC Adrian Knox Stakes placegetter Flidais.  She since foaled fillies by Charge Forward and Snitzel.

Second dam Electronic (First Norman) was a G1 winner of the AJC Metropolitan and STC Ranvet Stakes.
