A Fusaichi Pegasus colt attracted the highest price at Keeneland’s September yearling sale on Friday. The Day 12 leader was purchased by Tim and Crystal O’Donohue for $52,000.
The FuPeg chestnut is out of Whalah (Dixieland Band), a winning sister to the dam of Argentinean G1 winner Lady Sprinter (Orientate).
On Friday, 197 yearlings changed hands for $1.86 million. The $9,446 average was up 48% from the same session last year. The marathon 13 day sale concludes on Saturday.
