Gallium – Bred to Win – Monday, 23 November 2009

Gold Coast trainer Bruce Hill will be looking to make a winning start with his newest stable acquisition today at Murwillumbah.

Gallium is a lightly raced gelding who was previously trained by David Bates in Darwin.  He comes into the George & Fuhrmann Newmarket (Race 5 at 4.15pm AEDT) with a good Top End form-line.  Last start he was less than five lengths away from Far Horizons in the Palmerston Sprint despite suffering interference in the concluding stages.

Gallium (7g Gallo di Ferro-Super Play by Kildare Pride) fetched $12,000 at the 2004 Adelaide Magic Millions and has proven a good money-spinner for his connections, banking just over $100,000 from 7 wins in 27 starts.  Gallium is by Deputy Minister sire Gallo di Ferro and is the first of five winners for lightly raced mare Super Play.
