Godolphin Group 1 mares retired to stud

Godolphin has retired its USA Group 1 winning mares Seventh Street (Street Cry), Music Note (A.P. Indy) and Cocoa Beach (Doneraile Court).

SEVENTH STREET (4f Street Cry – Holiday Runner by Meadowlake) was unplaced in the Breeders’ Cup Filly & Mare Sprint (G1) at her final start a fortnight ago.  She won the G1 Apple Blossom Hcp and Go for Wand Hcp and was placed in three other elite level events.
Bred in Kentucky, Seventh Street sold for $1 million at the Fasig-Tipton Calder February 2yo Sale in 2007.  She is out of multiple stakes winner Holiday Runner who also foaled 2008 Saratoga Special St (G2) placegetter Reynaldothewizard (Speightstown).

MUSIC NOTE (4f A.P. Indy–Note Musicale by Sadler’s Wells) was second in the 2008 USA Champion 3yo Filly awards to Proud Spell after G1 wins in the Mother Goose St, CCA Oaks and Gazelle St.
This season, Music Note won the G1 Ballerina St at Saratoga and Beldame St at Belmont to complete a 12: 7-1-2 career card with $1.61 million in prizemoney.  She is a half sister to G1 winning French mare Musical Chimes.

COCOA BEACH (5m Doneraile Court–Visionera by Edgy Diplomat) was named 2008 Horse of the Year in Chile and travelled to North America where she added the G1 Beldame Stakes and Matriarch Stakes last year.  She captured the Listed De La Rose Stakes at Saratoga in August.
