Leading Queensland stud Glenlogan Park has reduced the service fees for four of its seven stallions in 2011.

Glenlogan Park owner Jon Haseler said he was mindful of the recent natural disasters when setting the fees for this year.  “There’s no question the State’s economy is suffering as a consequence and we need to do everything to assist breeders,” he explained.  “We pride ourselves in offering stallions at accessible fees and we are pushing that to another level in 2011.”

Glenlogan Park’s headline sire Show A Heart will stand this season at a fee of $25,000.  Leading juvenile stallion Jet Spur has been priced at $15,000.  Proven stallion Falvelon will be available at $10,000 while Bradbury’s Luck can be accessed for $8,000.

The fees of all four stallions exclude GST and the reductions from last year range between $2,000 and $2,500.

“They are proven stallions and are priced very, very competitively,” Haseler said.  “Breeders can be secure in the knowledge there will be a market for their offspring.”

The fees of first season sire Rothesay ($11,000), second-season sire Red Element ($8,000) and third-season sire Real Saga ($14,000) are unchanged and exclude GST.

“Rothesay meets every criteria for breeders,” Glenlogan Park manager Steve Morley said.  “He’s by the hottest stallion in the country in Fastnet Rock out of the proven stallion making family of Canny Lad and this year’s Golden Slipper winner Sepoy.

“Red Element has let down into a quality stallion and he should make an immediate impact.

“Real Saga’s first foals are nothing short of outstanding and it’s doubtful we have seen too many more naturally talented juveniles in the last decade.”
