Sunspeed breeder Alan Olive has purchased multiple stakes winner For Your Eyes Only to join his growing bloodstock portfolio based at Gingin.  Olive outbid several Eastern States studs to keep the mare in Western Australia.

For Your Eyes Only (5m Bletchley Park – Communique by Key Business) won 10 races and $582,000 including Listed victories in the WA Gimcrack Stakes, Ascot 1000 Guineas and Beaufine Stakes.

For Your Eyes Only was originally purchased by Perth Racing committeeman Harvey Crossman for $23,000 at the 2008 Perth Magic Millions.  “She was a very good racehorse and will do well mated to the right stallion,” he said.  “We currently have 35 broodmares and they have been sent to sires in Western Australia, NSW and Victoria.”

Olive and his wife Sue will present an inaugural consignment of 17 yearlings at the 2012 Perth Magic Millions under the Gold Front Investments banner.

The Gold Front draft includes a More Than Ready brother to G1 AJC Sires’ Produce Stakes winner Carry On Cutie (Lot 18), an Encosta de Lago colt from NZ G3 winner Native Song (Lot 130) and a Commands filly out of Adelaide G3 winner Libidinious (Lot 424).

There are also yearlings by Lonhro (2), Fastnet Rock, Snitzel, Henny Hughes, Casino Prince and Savabeel.
