Street Cry sire Globetrotter has been creating the right vibes with his first-crop that are due to debut in the coming season.
Globetrotter (USA) stands at Brackley Park in Victoria for a $6,600 (inc gst) service fee. He was a Group 3 2YO winner in Canada and later finished runner-up in the G1 Charles Whittingham Memorial at Santa Anita.
“I am currently pre-training two Globetrotter fillies,” Queensland-based Darryl Gollan said. “They are in for their second prep after being broken in. One is a compact, well-balanced filly and certainly a sprinting type while the other is a big, leggy filly and a great mover.
“They have great temperaments and are brilliant to handle – they are very sound and quite however they have that bit of tenacity.”
Benalla based Vince Nolen also has a Globetrotter colt in his care from Secret Savings mare Shameela. “I must admit that I didn’t know a lot about Globetrotter,” he said. “But I really liked this horse on type at the Melbourne Premier Sale.
“He has done everything right and he is going really well in preparation for the Ready To Run Sale in Sydney. He has an excellent temperament and, from what I have seen of the Globetrotter breed, they are good-minded horses with a lot of Street Cry about them.”
Globetrotter’s owner Damian White is confident his progeny will measure up. “The Globetrotters are going to good stables,” White said. “And the reports we are getting are very positive.” White can be contacted on 0418 477 090.
