The 2010 Inglis Scone Broodmare Sale at White Park on Friday, August 27 is headed by stakes winning mare Hairy. The catalogue is now on-line with no less than 24 half sisters to stakes winners.
Hairy (Lot 101) has been a wonderful performer with 7 wins and more than $325,000 in prizemoney. The Fuji Kiseki mare’s career was highlighted by black-type wins in the Winning Edge Presentation Stakes at Rosehill and Carrington Stakes at Randwick.
Other fillies or mares straight off the track include Modonna (Lot 134), a stakes placed close relation to Fastnet Rock. Another well-bred mare is Cerinthe (Lot 74), an Exceed And Excel half-sister to Champion 2YO Victory Vein.
Further highlights include Quillionaire (Lot 10), a half sister to G1 Queensland Oaks winner Zagalia, who is being sold in foal to Lonhro. Mrs Windsor (Lot 136), a daughter of a G1 winner and half sister to two G1 winners, is being sold in foal to War Pass. There are also mares in foal to Champion First Season Sire Stratum and exciting newcomer Haradasun.
Buyers should note the sale falls on the same weekend as a number of the Stallion Open days at some of Australia’s most famous stud farms, meaning they can also use the trip to the Hunter to inspect some of the country’s best stallions. Supplementary entries for the sale close Friday, August 20.
