Heytesbury celebrates its 40th anniversary this year and the leading WA stud will hold its Annual Open Day on Sunday, August 14.

Heytesbury stallion Saxon (Danehill) is the leading first-crop sire in WA with five individual winners. Associate sire Husson Lightning (Hussonet) had his first yearlings sell up to $95,000 at the Perth Magic Millions earlier this year.

Open Day visitors will have the opportunity to win a Free Stallion Service to either Saxon or Husson Lightning in 2011.

The 1984 Melbourne Cup won by the Heytesbury homebred Black Knight will be on display. Vasse Felix wine tasting and light refreshment’s will be available on the day.
