Yarraman Park sire Hinchinbrook is full for 2012. The G3 winning son of Fastnet Rock covered 119 mares in his initial book last year.
“We’ve capped his book at 120 mares and have had a big response to him again this year,” Yarraman’s Harry Mitchell said. “Magic Albert has had great results this year and is also very close to full.”
The appeal of Hinchinbrook is not confined to Fastnet Rock. He is also a three-quarter brother to G1 winner Snitzel who is currently leading the Australian third season sires’ premiership with earnings in excess of $5.08 million.
Snitzel posted his first Group I winner last Saturday when exciting colt Sizzling won the BRC T J Smith Stakes, that success coming hot on the heels of his two year-old filly Snitzerland running second in the G1 Golden Slipper and three year-old filly Aliyana Tilde finishing second in the G1 Australian Oaks.
