Holler retires to Darley Victoria

Darley has announced its G1 Canterbury Stakes winner Holler will stand at Northwood Park in 2017.

The striking son of Commands won the Canterbury Stakes (1200m) at Randwick in March 2016 and then came close to recording back-to-back Group 1 victories last year when beaten a short-head by Flamberge in the William Reid Stakes at Moonee Valley.

Holler also won the G2 Australia Stakes and G3 Red Anchor Stakes at three when ranked the second-highest-rated colt of his generation behind Exosphere but above Press Statement, Palentino and Tarzino.

Holler is the second son of Commands on the Darley roster following Epaulette who stands at its Kelvinside property in NSW.

“Holler was a weight-for-age winner at the highest level and he’s an exceptionally good-looking horse with a stallion’s pedigree,” Darley’s Alastair Pulford said.  “Commands was such a terrific stallion for us so it is fantastic to now stand two of his most brilliant sons.”
