The first youngsters by Yarraman Park sire I Am Invincible proved popular at the Inglis Select weanling sale this week.
His top seller was a well grown athletic brown filly from Dublin Me Bet (NZ) offered by Middlebrook Valley Lodge. She was knocked down to Aquanita Racing for $52,000.
Dublin Me Bet (O’Reilly) is a descendant of G2 winning sprinter Double Your Bet and traces further back to G1 winning filly Diamond Shower.
Middlebrook Valley also sold an I Am Invincible colt from FuPeg mare Lolly Lover for $27,000. Renowned New Zealand pin-hookers Ascot Farm signed the sale sheet and the colt will probably parade again at 2013 Karaka yearling sale.
Also headed to New Zealand is an I Am Invincible colt from Evil Sisters (NZ). He was bought from the Sefton Park Stud draft for $23,000 by Michael Wallace Bloodstock.
All up, I Am Invincible had seven youngsters sell during the Select part of the sale at an average $20,429.
I Am Invincible was a brilliant stakes winning sprinter by European champion Invincible Spirit. He has been well supported in his first two seasons covering books of 133 and 140 mares and will stand his third season at an $11,000 (inc gst) service fee.
