When a quaddie on a major race day leading into key events pays $148, it tells you a few things.  Firstly, it says that the key races this spring are very low on depth and, secondly, bookmakers are likely to be heading for a drubbing.

After his strong victory (with the addition of blinkers) in the Dato Tan Chin Nam Stakes, Whobegotyou is worth every cent of his short-priced quote for the Cox Plate.  If the race was to be run tomorrow, there is no doubt that he would win handsomely.  He is right on par to do so.

Pat Hyland should save Zarita to mares races as she clearly has the upper hand over the other girls.  Come to think of it, I would advise favourite backers to stay with mares’ races in the coming months.
