Inglis expands Easter Broodmare Sale

Group 1 winning mare Sun Classique highlights an expanded Inglis Australian Easter Broodmare Sale this year.  Inglis director Jonathan D’Arcy yesterday announced the sale has been extended to four days from Tuesday April 13 to Friday April 16.

“With 948 lots catalogued, we decided to extend the sale to four days, with quality from start to finish.  There are 817 mares in the Select session and 131 in the General session.

“We are honoured to be offering Sun Classique in foal to top European stallion Oasis Dream.  This represents a full circle, as she was also sold in utero at this sale.”

Among the racing section is Group winning mare Chinchilla Rose who is a full-sister to the dam of Saturday’s G1 Blue Diamond winner Star Witness.

Adding depth to the sale is a number of dispersal and annual reductions.  Toorak Park Stud has catalogued 39 lots headlined by G1 winner Serious Speed and Picholine, the dam of VRC Derby winner Rebel Raider and Norman Robinson winner Shamoline Warrior.

The Toorak dispersal will be held on Day 1 along with reductions by Arrowfield (53 lots), Patinack Farm (103) and Darley (44).  Coolmore, Amarina Farm, Shipton Lodge and Invermien also have good-sized drafts.
