The 2014 Inglis Melbourne Premier Yearling Sale is now available online.  A total of 775 lots will be offered over four days from Sunday, March 2 to Wednesday, March 5.

“Almost 2,000 entries were received this year enabling our bloodstock team to be very selective on type and conformation, which is so important to buyers today,” Inglis Melbourne Director Peter Heagney said.  “The quality keeps improving year after year.  We are now offering twice as many yearlings, but the sale is producing nearly three times as many stakes winners.”

Top sires represented include Fastnet Rock, Exceed And Excel, Redoute’s Choice, Snitzel, Commands, Mossman, Reset, Lonhro, Stratum, Encosta de Lago, More Than Ready, Bel Esprit, Testa Rossa, Savabeel, Sebring and Stratum.

First season sires include Reward For Effort, Starspangledbanner, Beneteau, Congrats, Equiano, Hinchinbrook, Lookin At Lucky, Star Witness, Stryker, Super Saver and Tickets.

The ‘Blue Riband’ Session aimed at unearthing quality middle-distance racehorses and stayers will comprise 52 lots by sires such as High Chaparral, Galileo, New Approach, Street Cry and Zabeel on Monday, March 3.
